Dr. William “Bill” Jan Czajka (1949–2024)

Dr. William “Bill” Jan Czajka, Class of 1971, passed away on August 20, 2024. Born on July 29, 1949, Bill graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University before earning his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He went on to a distinguished career as a cardiologist, serving patients for many years through Cardiology Care Consultants and the Premier Health system in western Ohio.

Bill was known for his deep commitment to patient care, his calm and thoughtful manner, and his dedication to advancing cardiovascular health in his community. He is remembered warmly by colleagues, friends, and the many patients whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, their three children, and six grandchildren.

Bill’s life reflects the values of service, scholarship, and compassion that define the OWU community. He will be remembered with gratitude by the Class of 1971.
