Stephen, I think I just unwittingly deleted a message you sent me, trying to edit my response. Sorry! Anyway, yes, The String is the Thing. Nice to hear from you! My first connection to an Eastern path was a photo I saw of Shirdi Sai Baba in the OWU bookstore. I remember looking at it intently, and thinking "What is he like....Inside?" The path for me seems to have become the heart of all paths....Christianity (raised a Catholic), Islamic Sufism (starting in my twenties) and Kashmir Shaivism (starting age 39). And lately Jewish mysticism. Nice....to meet you.
